In the workspace every message is charged, because the model runs on our account. A token is a piece of a word. Tightlip counts about 4 characters of English as one token, so 8,000 tokens is about 32,000 characters of text.

Do credits expire?

Credits stay valid for at least 12 months from the day they were added to your account.

Can I get a refund?

Yes, for unused paid credits within 14 days of purchase. Email hello@tightlipai.com from your account email with the purchase date. If you used part of a top-up, we refund the unused part. Used credits and free credits are not refundable. Full terms are on the refunds page.

What if a prompt has nothing sensitive in it?

With the extension, SDK and proxy it costs nothing. In the web workspace it costs the normal credit, because the AI model is included.

Are there limits on the free credits?

Yes, until your first paid top-up: 25 workspace messages a day, each up to about 8,000 tokens with the chat history included. Free credits need a verified email address, and temporary email services are not eligible. A top-up of any size removes the limits.

Do the free credits have a cash value?

No. They cannot be refunded, transferred or exchanged for money. There is one free grant per person.

How do I pay?

By card through Stripe Checkout. Harbor Software LLC is the merchant. Organisations on an annual plan pay by invoice.

What happens when I run out?

The workspace tells you before sending. The extension and SDK stop the send and say why. They never send the unprotected text in its place. Top up and carry on.

Can a team share one balance?

Not yet. Each person has their own account today. For a shared, invoiced balance, email hello@tightlipai.com.
